The person behind the pages
About Mara Ellison
A little lost. A little found.
Mara Ellison is the fictional author of stories about belonging, brave departures and the strange magic of coming home. Her imaginary writing life moves between salt-stung coastal villages, impossible gardens and cities at the far edge of the sky.
Before the first chapter, there is usually a long walk, a notebook full of overheard sentences, and a cup of tea that has gone cold. She collects old maps, keeps too many houseplants, and believes every good story starts with a door left slightly open.
